The second hour takes its playlist from the pre-1979 era, and is called ’The Vintage Hour’. The third hour is solid, lean, continuous and compelling songs, named ’The Wall Of Sound’.
Features throughout include: ’Twin Peaks’ (not the TV show), the ’Midget Gem’ (not the sweet), and 'Soul Traders' (not the tax status). A new episode is available for streaming and download at around 10.00pm UK every Thursday. This is free for all listeners
THE SHOW IS ALSO HEARD ON MORE THAN EIGHTY RADIO STATIONS WORLDWIDE, AND IS OFFERED FOR SYNDICATION.
Just email mail@magnusshaw.co.uk for more details, as this is often free for quality radio stations (particularly on FM, AM, and DAB).

FAQs
What is the concept of the show, and what makes it different?
Listening to radio stations from around the world, we noticed the emphasis has significantly moved away from music, which has become almost a distraction, and on to competitions, chats with listeners, traffic and weather reports, and personality presenters. So we were inspired to make a show which redressed the balance by being all about the music.
What is the show's music policy?
We embrace almost any music - from All Saints to Motorhead. However, we are also deeply committed to music which has been made for genuine creative reasons, rather than purely commercial. We look for depth, credibility, and significance. If you're waiting to hear The Crazy Frog, you'll be waiting a long time! It's also worth saying every song is selected by human hand. There are no algorithims, special software, or randomised selections here.
How long has the show been on air?
About three years.
Is it a podcast or a radio show?
Both. We offer the show on as many platforms as possible. NO MORE HEROES is broadcast on about 80 FM, AM, DAB and internet radio stations every week. But can always be accessed from our platform here, as a podcast.
Why are there no ads?
Because we are heard in so many places, selling and scheduling advertising would be a very complex process. We are also aware listeners come for the music, not advertising. Our business model is much less traditional than straightforward advertising, and costs listeners nothing.
Why are there no dedications or requests?
We do run a couple of request show specials a couple of times a year, but don't really accept dedications because they don't really mean anything to the majority of the audience. It's all about the music, as we like to say.
Why is the third hour just music?
This is simply because we wanted to take the opportunity to strip the show down to nothing but the music - for 60 minutes. You may notice the show breaks down into three parts. Hour one: indie, rock, and guitar-based songs. Hour two: The Vintage Hour, where all the tracks were recorded or released before 1979. Hour three: a slightly more pop feel, but still the highest quality music - just without a presenter's voice.
Who is Grace?
Who indeed?
